The Forever economy, fact by fact. Each one says how it's known, where it comes from and when it was last checked — and open questions are listed as Unknown rather than guessed.

The Forever beta started on September 17. Details seen in beta can still change before launch.
Forever's new raids — Hyjal Summit (20-player) and Barrow Deeps (10-player) — unlock on December 9.
ForeverEcon analysis
Raid openings typically lift demand for consumables and their reagents. Worth watching flasks, potions and elixirs in the weeks before.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Forever will not have the WoW Token, so gold cannot be bought with real money through the game.
Note: Stated by Blizzard developers in an interview published by Wowhead, not in an official Blizzard post.
ForeverEcon analysis
Without a Token, all gold enters the economy through play. Expect gold to be scarcer early and prices to start low.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Forever will not sell character boosts.
Note: Same developer interview as the WoW Token statement.
Normal, PvP and Roleplaying rulesets at launch; Hardcore arrives after launch. Horde and Alliance remain separate and cannot group.
ForeverEcon analysis
Separate rulesets may mean separate economies. ForeverEcon keeps market data separable by region, realm and ruleset until the structure is known.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
At launch each character can spend up to 16 points in its Legacy Trees, from up to 65 Legacy Points. Collections and Legacy Points are account-wide across rulesets, except Hardcore.
The Legacy talent Reagent Economy removes reagent requirements from class abilities.
ForeverEcon analysis
Could reduce demand for class reagents among characters that take the talent.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Reported that characters and gold from the beta will not transfer to launch.
Note: Attributed to a Blizzard interview by a third-party guide; we have not found it in a Blizzard source.
Whether Forever's auction houses are shared across realms, regions, factions or rulesets has not been announced.
Note: Not addressed in Blizzard's Forever panel recaps (linked).
ForeverEcon analysis
This decides how many separate markets exist — and whether one price per item is even meaningful.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Reported that Forever will use the modern Auction House rather than the original one.
Note: Blizzard has not detailed the Forever Auction House.
ForeverEcon analysis
A modern Auction House would mean commodity-style listings for materials, which changes how prices are best measured — see Methodology.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Reported from a developer interview that a Black Market Auction House will exist in Steamwheedle Port.
Note: We could only confirm the interview's headline, not this detail.
Blacksmiths place a Sharpening Wheel (Attack Power), Tailors a Faction Banner (Spirit), Herbalists an Incense Candle (Intellect) and Alchemists an Alchemy Lab.
A Tanning Rack campsite object is required for more advanced Leatherworking recipes.
ForeverEcon analysis
Advanced Leatherworking may be crafted at campsites rather than in cities — a possible bottleneck early on.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
The Legacy talent Bountiful Harvest increases materials gathered from Mining, Herbalism or Skinning.
ForeverEcon analysis
More yield per node means more supply. Over time this could push raw material prices below original-game levels.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Blizzard has announced more than 600 new recipes across professions and level ranges.
ForeverEcon analysis
More recipes could increase demand for existing materials, especially where they introduce new material sinks. Which materials gain is unknown until recipes are listed.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Blizzard has not published a per-profession breakdown or a list of the 600+ new recipes.
Note: Not addressed in Blizzard's Forever panel recaps (linked).
Crafted food is adjusted to grant a small experience bonus as well as stat boosts.
ForeverEcon analysis
Food that speeds up leveling should sell during the launch rush — raw fish and meat demand may rise with it.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
Blizzard describes the bonus only as “small”. The exact amount has not been published.
A Basic Campfire creates a campsite with vendors, repairs, profession workspaces and one-hour buffs. Nearby players can add up to three crafted objects — one per player, sharing a one-hour cooldown.
Every profession has three campsite objects learned at different skill levels. The first are learned at skill 20, from camping NPCs or profession trainers.
Cooking can make upgraded Campfires that allow five or ten objects at a camp.
With three objects per profession, most campsite objects — including every one for Enchanting, Engineering, Mining and Skinning — have not been named.
Advanced Blueprint recipes drop from dungeon bosses.
ForeverEcon analysis
Blueprints make specific bosses worth farming for crafters, not just for gear — and the recipes they teach will create their own material demand.
Our interpretation — not confirmed game behavior.
No Blueprint has been named and no boss-to-Blueprint list has been published.
Note: A community datamine report says beta loot tables are stored server-side, so they can't be read from the game client.
